Starting with the first edition that took place in 2001, Shanghai Fashion Week is now a point of reference for Asia and the world, conceived in one of the most avant-garde and creative mega-cities on Earth. With runway shows and events organised all over town, including the commercial zone of Xintiandi which generally also hosts 40 runway shows, Shanghai Fashion Week is the perfect place to discover new talents and check out emerging trends in metropolitan fashion and Street Style. Besides the shows for well-known brands, the event - developed with the support of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the City of Shanghai - is at the disposition of young talent who, chosen thanks to a contest, have the possibility of presenting their creations to a vast public as well as specialists in the sector.
